| < Back to project page | DeviceIndustrial spirituality: a machine with built in redundancy, a mechanised poetic fragment (a single petal) that revolves awkwardly around an axle until it cannot. The forces of physics work against the attempt, the machine lurches, falters and eventually fails as the unstable logics tear the system apart, like any failed ideology. Materials are carved cardboard, electric motor, floodlights, wall drawing, safety signage. The work was shown at Blue Oyster Gallery in December 06 as part of RSA curated by Emily Pauling and Anna Muirhead |
